Mascot Design

for extraordinary brands

What is a mascot

…and why you need it

Imagine if people can recognize your brand at a glance just from a single image!

That’s what mascots do. Mascots, also called brand characters, serve as an ambassador of a brand or a company. They make brands distinctive, recognizable, and memorable.

However, just a visually appealing character does not guarantee better brand awareness.

This is why we don’t just design brand characters.
We design distinctive mascots, based on research, and help you transform the character into an ambassador of your company.

The Mascot Design Process

Step 1: Research & Concept Creation

This step includes three parts:

1. Research: We analyze the content strategy of brand characters in your industry: types of characters and styles, how they use their brand characters. We take into account your specific audience, what type of character would fit.
2. Branding: We explore your visual branding and the content you create and plan a character concept that will complement your brand.
3. Concept: We create the concept of the mascot based on your brief, the research of your industry segment, audience, and visual branding.

Step 2: Sketches

We will create several sketches that you can choose from.

During this sketch phase, we can make any changes. This way we can experiment and find what suits the brand best.

Step 3: Vector Design

We will create a scalable vector image based on the sketch, which means that you can later easily add it to illustrations, scale it however you want or change small details like colors easily.

Finally, we choose the colors of your character and add the details and shadows.

Once the mascot design is finalized, we provide you with AI vector files, as well as raster PNG and JPEG file formats. The raster files can be directly used on your website, social media or anywhere you need.

Step 5: Add-ons

To harvest the full potential of your character you need to make it alive. Having different variations of your character such as facial expressions, actions and outfits gives you the freedom to put the character in various contexts on your website, blog and social media!

1. Poses

Making your character doing different things is the key to bringing life into it. The options are infinite!

2. Facial Expressions

Facial expressions are among the crucial factors to make your character look alive. Think about what situations you are going to put your character in and what emotions would suit her/him.

3. Accessories

Enrich the poses of your character with different accessories. Phones, laptops, flipcharts, beanbags… you name it and we’ll create it!

4. Outfits

Surprise your audience with different outfits and costumes for holidays like Christmas and Halloween!

5. Backgrounds

It’s time to put your character in action. Placing your character in backgrounds/scenes will make your mascot look alive. The backgrounds/scenes could be related to the story of your character, your niche, or generic ones, like sending your character on a summer vacation.
